X.509 is an ITU-T standard for a public key infrastructure (PKI) and Privilege Management Infrastructure (PMI). In NG9-1-1, refers to the format of a certificate containing a public key.

Related Terms:

SubjectAltName

A field in an X.509 digital certificate which typically contains identifying information for the entity issued the certificate. In an ESInet, SubjectAltName contains an agent or agency ID.
