AIP (Access Infrastructure Provider)

AIP (Access Infrastructure Provider) is the entity providing physical communications access to the subscriber. This access may be provided over telco wire, CATV cable, wireless or other media. Usually, this term is applied to purveyors of broadband internet access but is not exclusive to them.
