DTE (Data Terminal Equipment)

DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) is the designation for RS-232 and EIA/TIA-574 serial terminal devices such as data terminals or PCs. Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) typically connects to Data Communications Equipment (DCE).
