Service Mapping

From NENA Knowledge Base

Service Mapping is the end result of a LoST findService request to an ECRF which places a 9-1-1 call at exactly one location in a service area polygon for a PSAP (e.g., one address point in the Site/Structure Address Points layer, or a valid house number in the Road Centerlines layer). This term describes the mapping data elements (service region and associated URI) that are used by the ECRF to route a 9-1-1 call when requested by an ESRP or other ECRFs or endpoints.
