Wi-Fi Calling
A service offering being used by some wireless carriers, cable companies, other companies, and some enterprise customers that seek to deliver voice calls over Wi‑Fi. Where the 9‑1‑1 calling is done via Wi‑Fi calling, the connectivity from the Wi‑Fi access point to the 9‑1‑1 system is comparable to connectivity from a wired broadband connection for VoIP to the 9‑1‑1 system.
