PIF (Protocol Interworking Function)

The PIF (Protocol Interworking Function) is the functional component of a Legacy Network Gateway, Legacy PSAP Gateway, or Legacy Selective Router Gateway that interworks legacy PSTN signaling such as ISUP or CAMA with SIP signaling.
